Accomplishments
  • Assisted supervisor write the Community Development Block Grant where we received $33,000.00 for five TEAM UP sites in 2009-2010 school year. Offered to handle all requirements necessary for the awarded grant from the City of Reno.
  • Wrote, with supervisor at the time, and implemented new independent contractor procedures to include a background/fingerprint form ensuring the safety of all TEAM UP students. Coordinated with several departments including. 
  • Presented for a substance abuse and prevention class at the University of Nevada, Reno ​where students received credit by volunteering at one of four different programs. This was for the BADA funded program.

  • Work with the principal and TEAM UP administration to develop and implement a successful community learning center Meet SIP goals, TEAM UP overall goals and objectives Recruit target population; oversee daily program operations to include recruitment, training, and supervision of staff; resolution of conflicts of students, parents and staff; payroll and purchases.

  • Assist families with classes; attain sustainability through community partnerships.

Bureau of Alcohol and Drug
  • Coordinate and supervise three WCSD schools receiving the Bureau of Alcohol and Drug Abuse grants.
  • Wrote grants annually and managed all contracts for hiring teachers as well as payroll for each site.
  • Asked to present program to participants by supervisor.
  • Sparks Rotary contributed annually to our program which required presenting to the board of directors.
  • Data was gathered for the presentation supporting the continued need of assistance for quality programming.
  • Annual presentations by students and myself to one Rotary meeting a year was a requirement.
  • Coordinated performances throughout the year for parents, students and staff.
