Responsible for assisting large risk management client (Bechtel Corporation) with analyzing and managing a wide range of risks throughout the construction lifecycle of large complex projects. Day to day service to client includes. When required direct the placement of Property & Casualty insurance of EPC, CM and Engineering projects that are under taken.
Collect exposure information needed to conduct third party liability risk assessments.
Develop and review contracts as relates to insurance issues, including coordination and review of risk of loss and indemnity provisions with the legal department.
Develop and negotiate project subcontract insurance provisions.
Work with project estimating to develop and provide indicative insurance estimates for new project proposals.
Prepare submittals, initiate and direct the appropriate insurance coverage and pricing for all new bids and projects.
Work with client/owner and insurance representatives to ensure proper placement and coordination of any project specific insurance policies.
Process and prepare in conjunction the Treasury department and surety brokers, security instruments (LOC, surety bonds) to support project financing needs.
Develop project insurance manuals and conduct project insurance kick-off meetings at project sites.
Develop and provide risk management training to client personnel.
