Maintenance and repair all roadways, signs, Runways, Taxiways and any that pertains to or is located on or around Airport property which includes Martin state airport. I was certified and train on the prep and application of all airfield markings and used of its equipment by innovative pavement research foundation. Airfield line striping or painting was my main field I was in mostly due to the high volume of travel and wear in the markings, the need to be reapplied every year is high being there are a lot of markings to re coat. I also did odds and end painting task like re coating yell curbs and concrete pillars. I did asphalt hole repair of all sizes with the use of paving machines, millers and good old shovel and brooms. Along with asphalt repair I maintained the concrete areas within the airports ground from applying hot concrete patches to filling in concrete slabs with special caulk for joint repair. I maintained and cut all grass areas inside the fencing and around all taxiways and runways. When roadway and directions signs needed replacing I completed that task. I work with state police in setting up and laying out cones for vehicle check points and inspections on all major roadways surrounding and heading to the airport grounds. I was part of the response team for picking up and transporting disabled state vehicles to and from different repair facilities and on occasions took discarded vehicle to auction to be sold. I do maintenance on all equipment used when out resident mechanic is not in or is need of assistance and maintained up to date records of any repairs needed or completed. For half a year I did 80 percent of all the mechanical maintenance on our equipment while still doing my regular duties while out mechanic was out on medical leave. I am emergency essential which requires me tobe at work for all major and minor emergency event that the administration deemed necessary. I did some purchase and receiving of tools and items needed to complete task as well as sometimes picking up items at various locations. Make repairs to damaged walls in and around the terminal. Other duties I do as well due to our small staff include carpentry, Hvac, Welding and electrical. Train all new employees on all maintenance equipment as well as train and represent them while the obtain the CDL per there requirement for their job description. I do all training and certifications for employees at Martin State Airport which include scheduling training times, sessions and test dates. I do all the paper work required for the certificates and sign off on them as trained and certified allowing for upgrades. In addition to all my duties I have also taken part in airfield inspection, traction testing, snow grams and notam issuing as part of operations for Martin State. As additional duties I also service, repair and (PM) preventive maintenance all equipment used as Martin State which include snow equipment, Mowing equipment, service trucks, Painting equipment and Asphalt repairing equipment. Managed multiple employees in various job tasks throughout all phases of project completion. Developed and implemented strategies to enhance team performance, improve processes and increase efficiency. Resolved employee issues, complaints and requests-for-clarification to keep projects on track. Assisted distribution of tools, materials and equipment to skilled workers. Collected and removed debris from work sites to maintain team productivity and minimize safety hazards. Read and understood specifications, drawings and blueprints to complete accurate, high-quality work.
