Provide a management representation statement covering asset management at the end of each physical inventory. Verify assets received with a purchase requisition, a purchase order, and a store’s delivery advice.  Ensure assets received are in sellable condition. Offer recommendations to executives/investors to control shrink, safety, expenses, and liabilities throughout departments. Verify that assets are available for stock taking and have been down stocked to appropriate locations. Ensure assets are readily identifiable and adequately secured throughout premises. On a daily basis ensure that assets are allocated and expensed to correct expense accounts. Perform research investigations on capital assets that have no ledger or activity. Ensure complete stock take of assets are conducted on a weekly cycle and signed by a designated senior member of management.
