  • Monitoring - Design, configure and maintain a monitoring solution (PRTG) to monitor all aspects of the environment and sends email and SMS alerts when an error condition is met. The monitoring solution tracks and alerts on network outages, bandwidth utilization, server performance, application and service availability, as well environmental factors such as temperature.
  • Firewalls - Inserted network segmentation firewalls to the pre-existing networks to protect resources from unauthorized access and to also log access to these resources. In order to minimize the impact on the user base this was completed in stages.
  • Switching - Redesign pre-existing data center network infrastructure with the objective of eliminating single points of failure and increasing performance. This was accomplished by adding redundant 10G switches at the top of each rack with dual 40G QSFPs interconnections. Each end node IDF was also connected via dual 10G links to the core router.
  • Site-to-Site VPNs - Design, configure, and maintain VPN connections between the Primary and Secondary offices as well as connectivity to AWS Gov Cloud.
  • Certificate of Authority - Implement a certificate of authority with a 3 tiered hierarchy which is integrated into an Active Directory. These certificates are utilized for many aspects of the environment including web server SSL certificates and radius network authentication.
  • Radius - Design and deploy 802.1X network port authentication utilizing Pulse Secure Radius with username and password, certificate, and Active Directory authentication. The Radius server enforces end node network segmentation based authentication and authorization.
  • Troubleshooting Tools - Wireshark, Syslog, LAN Speed Test, Iperf, mtr, traceroute, tcping, nmap, and mturoute.
