The forecast was created using the previous 2 years attrition data as a guide and then ensuring we managed this accordingly to ensure we met target. We met the target in 2018 allowing us to deliver on tier 4 commitments.
  • Launching a DWU succession planning process for shop employees who wish to progress to exempt. This involves bi-annual reviews with senior leaders and a development program in place.
  • Becoming MBTI certified and leading / co-facilitating MBTI step 1 and step 2 sessions.
  • Managing and supported RIF activities in both the US and UK. Managing this involved communicating with employee representatives, managing very stressed and emotional consultation meetings and following UK law fully.
  • Getting approval from senior leaders to move an employee onto a 0 hour contract. This was not common practice in Cummins and helped support the business in a difficult succession planning situation.
  • Supporting UK Engineering in recruiting over 60 vacancies in 7 months. This involved working with a variety of leaders and teams. We managed to boost our diversity in our application pool and ended up with 48% female engineering hires.
