I worked full time in water desalination and power plant as an industrial equipment technician.

My main duty was to prevent maintenance, shutdown job, troubles shooting, repairing and replacing the faulty equipment, after repairing the equipment keep standby to make sure it operating properly.

• Natural air cooling & oil cooling transformers auxiliary & distribution transformers, primary 6.6KV secondary 380/220/100 volt, (800KVA / 1600KVA)
• Protection / current transformers

CIRCUIT BREAKERS:

• Vacuum circuit breaker (VCB) 630/1230/2500 amps, 15.75/6.6KV.
• Oil circuit breaker (OCB) 630/1230/2500 amps, 15.75/6.6KV
• Air circuit breaker (ACB)
• SF6 breaker 230KV

My duty was related to plant industrial following equipments i.e. preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and trace the fault through drawings:

• Generator load switch breaker 15.75KV requires test and inspection.
• Generator up-to transformer bus bar duct maintain the air pressure and inspection.
• Lighting arrestors, generator earth switch, bus bar duct bushing inspection and test with megger.
• Generator winding and insulation resistance check with megger.
• Generator CT & PT winding and insulation resistance test.
• Generator protection & synchronize system test with test equipment.
• Brine re-cycle pump/sea water supply pump/force draft/boiler feed water pump induction motors size 1480, 1950, 2800 KW / 6.6 KV.
• Pressure switches, limit Switches, electronic timers.
• Overhead cranes, capacity of 5 / 55 tons, mobile cranes.
• Installing adjusting and correcting of electric torque operated actuator for multi port Valves.
• 3 Phase 60Hz discharge valves for debris filters.
• Portable electrical equipments.
• All plant motors terminal checking, megger test & greasing.
• Boilers ignition inspection and test.
• Soot blowers limit switches testing and all boiler auxiliary motors terminal checking and megger the winding and insulation test.
• Repair the plant security fence lighting system test and inspection.
• Routine operation test of desalination heat recovery, heat rejection system 2 & 3-way valves inspection repair and test.
• Annual maintenance of sea Water chlorination cells and related control circuits inspection, replace the cells.
• Inspection, repair, test and operate of all type of tank level control switches.
• Maintenance of all type of portable draw out pump motor overhauling and megger test.
• Calibrate the all type of relays, timer, and maintain the work history on the records.
