I began as a mail carrier for just over a year when I entered into the 204b supervisory program, which I stayed until my disability retirement. Duties:
- Sort, arrange, and deliver mail in a timely fashion (carrier).
- Put together, monthly, weekly and daily schedules and assignments for
carriers and clerks.
- Organize and make ready the facility to send and/or receive mail.
- Make daily progress reports and meet with union representatives to
address and resolve any ongoing concerns.
- Inspection of equipment and routes to ensure the safety of our carriers.
- Addressing customer complaints either over the phone or in writing.
- Ensure on a daily basis, our carriers and equipment have returned safely.
