Passionate and dedicated former special education teacher with over ten years experience in learning and behavioral disabilities with a heart full of love for students. While working to complete my EdS internship in School Psychology, I aim to combine my passions of both teaching and psychology. Having currently completed 60 hours of graduate level coursework in school psychology has given me an increasingly in-depth understanding of students of varying academic, cognitive and emotional development levels. This rigorous coursework and internship has also afforded me the opportunity to assist students in an alternate manner; including psychological assessments, classroom observations, providing psychological services and writing psychoeducational assessment reports, under professor and field supervision. My strong collaboration abilities enable all stakeholders, including related service providers and outside agencies, to best meet the needs of the student and their family. I also command exceptional communication skills, patience and positive reinforcement to build a foundation of trust for families inside and outside the school environment.
