My job role was to lead AIS team. I was also responsible of testing application compatibility , before they were sent for packaging . Platform covered were win Xp and Windows 7. Application packaging, Integration testing and deployment using Altiris. Integration testing for repackaqged application. Troubleshoot failed applications and deployment through Altiris deployment console.My job role was to create packages in Altiris console, test them to publish them in the production server for different end markets across the globe so that onsite engineers could deploy them onto the machines. I was responsible in gathering information from different end markets to prepare PRF for the applications that needed to be packaged. In Altiris console I was responsible in creating collection, and scheduling the applications to be deployed on the target machine. Citrix application packaging. Application discovery and understanding client infrastructure to help offshore engineers to create a replica of the same. Gathering information about applications and test their compatibility for different platforms. My job role was to analyze the existing environment and propose single platform for supported and unsupported software. Also I was responsible to derive suitable packaging method and propose its cost. I was responsible in identifying the best suitable hardware for the environment. For Citrix I was responsible, to do discovery of apps that needs to be packaged and find out their compatibility with citrix environment. My responsibility is to understand client's current citrix environment and implement that in the packaging factory for the citrix application packages to be created.
My job role was to visit sites migrate users to the new OS Platform. An image CD was used by me to image computers based on company standards and then get applications deployed through SCCM. After migration was done the next day floor walk support was done by me. Also I used to travel between sites to set up Printers and get them configured to Print servers.Worked as a deployment engineers, where I used to visit site to image old or new computers with the prescribed new image.Set up new printers and configure them on migrated ports physically. Then set up there IP and then get it configured on the print server to be available on network for use.Application deployment through SCCM. If there was any issues with application use to troubleshoot it for possible cause and rectify the same.Post migration used to provide floor walk support with users getting issues during first logon after migration. Also set their system up for future use.Keep inventory of stores for old and new machines and then report the same to piers. Arrangement of receiving and sending stocks to and from depot was also taken care in addition.
Worked as a Deployment engineer. I have worked on SCCM tool and Remedy. My job role was to create deployment package for applications that were already packaged as per standards and test them on test machines, before deployment was commenced. Also I used to give post deployment support through phone, by monitoring Remedy .Worked on MDT. Created SCCM Package for testing and deployment.I used to troubleshoot reason for test failures and get them rectified by the packaging team.After user sign off ofsuccessful packages, deployed them on machines using SCCM tool.I had created database for customers service desk to refer in future.Monitored Remedy for trouble tickets to rectify them, by deployment or taking control on users computer to troubleshoot and rectify them.Helped onsite engineers and made them aware of issues that could be resolved only at onsite.Did migration for no. of systems to Windows7 in a group through SCCM and then recheck each system before delivery.
C&W is a Telecom company and I used work as a L2 support administrator for wintel and deployment related escalated issues. HP Radia was used for deployment . My job role includes giving Level 2 support for Active directory related issues, Outlook, Blackberry, Hardware troubleshooting and Software related issues. Giving access and permission to shared drives and folders.Basic role includes resolving tickets raised by clients for outlook, network , software and hardware issues.Have a very good experience in solving complicated software related issues some of which include incompatibility with system environment and editing registry structures etc. . Work on different Outlook issues on Microsoft exchange server, like giving permission and rights on a certain mailbox depending on the requirement and business justification. MS outlook related issues on client machine is my area of expertise.Check with accounts on different server and also work on home drives and shared drives giving access to user through administrative login credentials.Also have experience on dealing with issues related to WINDOWS server.
