Perform Work order Creation and send to Clients for CR and implementation to improve Network performance.
Support CDMA/GSM/UMTS/LTE RF Design, Planning & Optimization activities within Client's Networks
Leading UMTS/LTE RF design & optimization activities within network using enterprise post-processing and KPI reporting applications for cluster/market acceptance.
Performing UMTS/LTE radio propagation modeling and prediction to determine cell Site location.
Determining UMTS/LTE site configurations, forecasting capacity & mobility requirements, planning and optimizing Network traffic KPI and developing design standards to ensure Network quality.
Reviewing Integration Report and Perform Single Site verification to ensure that sites which are turned over to the RF team are properly tested prior to acceptance thus ensuring agreed cell level & Network level KPI are attained. Resolving day-to-day worst cell issues, sponsor best practices, assess and escalate issues to RAN, Core, Data teams and support regions to deliver KPI of every cluster.
Identify and resolve all site configurations, coverage, network KPI and RF design deficiencies by requesting cluster drive Test; analyzing DT log files & data from NMS/OSS to recommend network changes as applicable.
Prepare detailed logistics plan including the number of cluster engineers and drive teams needed to complete the optimization deliverables on schedule
Network Design and Planning
Dimensioning the RAN network (number of CE, NodeB, RNCs) and performing link budget analysis, design criteria and traffic analysis according to the coverage, capacity and quality requirements from the operator.
Nominal Cell Planning based on Huawei RF planning tool (Genex U-Net) defining their related parameters: site coordinates, antenna type, antenna height, antenna tilt, antenna azimuth, CPICH power, cable loss, propagation model parameters (Okumura Hata, Walfish Ikegami, Cost 231 Hata, SPM)
Validating site configuration in field from technical site survey visit and preparing the Technical Site Survey report
Review the integration reports and conduct Single Site Verification to ensure that the sites which are turned over to the RF team are properly tested, without alarms and free from external interference.
Network Performance Analysis and Optimization
NMS/OSS data analysis using specific software tools (Genex Nastar, iManager) and maintaining KPI's above target values by providing tuning solutions to worst cells.
Monitoring & analyzing the hourly, daily and weekly graphical trends of Network Performance KPI
Carefully monitoring the Traffic trend on all sites and escalating Network issues at all times.
Conducting call trace activities with RAN, Core and data teams to improve KPI (IRAT HO SSR, Soft HO SSR, Location Update, Paging SSR, CSSR, RRC SSR, RAB SSR, etc.) in network for all Voice and Data services
Reporting the Radio Network Statistics on daily basis - Achieve & maintain the contracted KPIs for Network Performance (Accessibility, Retainability, Integrity, Mobility, Utilization & Availability)
Drive Test Analysis
Perform Single Site Verification to ensure all site configurations are accurate prior to Site/Cluster acceptance.
Analyzing DT log files using post processing tools to find out problematic cells and coverage areas within network needed to provide adjustments for Coverage, Quality and KPI improvement.
