I have worked as a Respite and Habilitation provider for four years. This job has taught me how to keep my calm under pressure and have a special patience needed when working with children. Caring for the individual physically and emotionally. My job involves making sure the child is cared for and that the environment I have created for him fosters a positive setting. I have to identify and rectify behavioral issues. I have proved to be dependable and reliable for the past four years as I've developed a deep and meaningful relationship with not only my client but with the family as well. I am a seasoned event planner as I was Student Council class president all of high school and now work planning events for a group of junior high and high school students. In my experiences planning events over the years I have learned that you need to be organized, passionate, and willing to put in the time. Recently I have been in charge of developing games, planning parties, teaching classes, and leading small group discussions. My job as an intern for this group of students has shown me how to effectively plan and then execute what I have planned in a timely and efficient manner. Most of all, my experience in both jobs has shown me my genuine love for the youth and desire to work in a field where I can be helping others.
