  • Currently working on synthesis of novel quaternary ammonium derivatives of albuterol and terbutaline as adrenergic agents. Currently, derivatives are being studied as potential adrenergic agents for localized application. Other modifications at aromatic ring are being carried out.
  • Designed and synthesized novel morpholine-3-carboxylates and oxazolidine-4-carboxylate derivatives as anticonvulsant agents. Specifically, synthesized R and S enantiomers to evaluate anticonvulsant activity. Currently, pharmacological studies of R-enantiomers are being carried out at NIH facility.
  • Investigated 2-aminoethanol derivatives as anticonvulsants. Synthesized and carried out SAR study of 2-(acetylamino)-ethyl carbamate derivatives as potential anticonvulsants and lead compound was identified.
  • Designed and synthesized N-benzyl-2-(methylsulfonamido)-acetamide derivatives as anticonvulsant agents. Specifically, 2-(furan-2-yl) and R and S enantiomers of 2-methoxymethyl derivatives are prepared and currenlty being studied at NIH anticonvulsant facility. During initial screening derivatives showed promising results and further studies are underway.
  • Designed and investigated ethylene diamine derivatives as anticonvulsants. Optimized synthetic route, characterized and evaluated number of subsituted-[2-(acetylamino)ethyl]-N-benzamides as potential anticonvulsants.
  • Developed and validated LC-MS/MS method for identification of Centhaquin in beagle plasma in the range of 0.2 ng to 100.00 ng per mL. Performed analysis of over 500 beagle plasma samples. and helped produce reports outlining results.
