Knowledgeable Yoga Instructor trained in Hatha yoga and offering 8.5 years of experience as a group yoga instructor. Able to leverage diverse styles and techniques for different skill levels. Caring, patient and observant leader with a hands-on style. Trained in several styles, focusing on gentler, slower movement.
I have taught between 4 and 7 classes weekly at Yoga Harmony consistently for over 8 years, and have taught on and off a 2 other studios in the area, as well as teaching independently of any studio.
In addition to teaching daily, I was responsible for opening and closing the studio prior to and following each class. I also cleaned and took care of basic maintenance of all shared spaces, including doing laundry, disposing of trash and recycling, cleaning and sanitizing, cleaning props and equipment, cleaning bathrooms and showers, etc.
Also took care of sales of memberships and retail when in the studio.
I enjoying making things, and learning about making things!
Knitting, sewing, working with leather, metalsmithing, book binding, stained glass, etc.
I also enjoy cooking and baking and experimenting with all kinds of food.
I do not have any formal work experience or training in the food service industry, but I did assist briefly with production and packaging of product for a small, local raw foods company. It was small scale, but gave me an idea of what goes into the food production environment and process.
As a yoga teacher and working closely with children, I've interacted with many people with many specialized diets and dietary restrictions/allergies. I take food safety and cross contamination very seriously.
