My foundation Angels Abroad Foundation Inc. takes children from Title I schools between the ages of 14-17 years old abroad on their first mission trip to Haiti, Central America, or South America for one week during the summer. The foundation covers the participants passport, room & board, meals, excursions, and all transportation including flights. The children spend their one week in the foreign country helping local construction workers, volunteer project managers, and engineers building homes, Eco-friendly schools, or renovating schools for the less fortunate abroad. This one-week experience gives each child a unique opportunity to help the less fortunate, gain volunteer hours for future resumes, enhance their team building skills, develop technical trade skills, start building their network with leaders in the construction industry, and inspire them to pursue engineering, technology, and management careers in the construction industry.
