3-Structural design of an Industrial Building (DEC 2017)
-Complete analysis was done for beams, columns, slabs using the information gained from advanced concrete reinforced design.
-Design of spandrel beam, column, corbel, shear walls, footings were done for a given plan.
-ACI 318 simplified method is used of continuous beams and the direct design method was used for two-way slabs and MS excel for calculations.
4-Finite element analysis of specific structural components (JAN 2016)
-Conducted normal mode analysis pf the beam. Analyzed and obtained the first three natural frequencies and their corresponding modes. Modified the structure to improve the frequency.
-Conducted 1D and 2D analysis of columns and beams under vertical loads. Analyzed the geometry for stress, displacement for multiple load conditions and meshing patterns using Abaqus.
5-Design of a bridge Super Structure with double tee beam (APR 2017)
-A double tee beam was analyzed using PCI design Manual for 0.6in. diameter strands.
-Shear and moment envelopes were developed for Strength I, Service I and Service III load combinations.
-Live load distribution factors were calculated for interior and exterior girders
-Design of bridge deck and barrier rail was also included in the design package.
-Drawings were done in AutoCAD, Risa was used for analysis, MS excel for calculations.
6-Portable Weight in Motion & Automatic Signaling System (AUG 2013 TO MAR 2015)
-Created a full-scale dynamic WIM system and calibrated the accurate determination of the traffic status and loads.
-The WIM assisted signal system was designed to be imparted on the roadways.
-This prototype model was exhibited at the National Level Competition conducted by National Instruments (NI) in September 2014 and our team was one among the top 12 finalists.
