After 13 years in Retail Management I left retail in January 2012 to pursue a new career in Manufacturing. I began moonlighting at General Mills as a temp on 2nd shift while I was still in Retail Management. While working as a temp to pay off some medical bills I quickly saw a new career ahead of me. I really enjoyed the comradery of working as a team in Manufacturing at General Mills. It was something I missed from my early Retail years, that had seemed to of disappeared. After 9 months of temp work, I knew it was time to set in motion the change in career. I was hired as a full time team member in September. I finished my last 3 months of Retail Management, while also working full-time at General Mills. In January 2012 I said good bye to Retail.
