For the last four years I have been working at New Village Arts Theatre as Production Manager and Stage Manager, creating show calendars, managing communication between Designers, Directors, Actors and Patrons, making sure a constant line of open communication was maintained, creating and editing sound design for shows, hanging light plots, light cue writing, assisting in set building, often times working under a time crunch making sure everything is ready before an event occurred. Maintaining a working schedule with multiple outside groups who need space for classes, rehearsals, etc. dealing with outside business's for rentals and purchases.

Created usable scenic shop with minimal guidance and unlimited parameters.
Reorganized and inventoried lighting equipment and cables.
Organized, streamlined and made accessible furniture storage.
Researched and modernized sound system, self directed on sound system, then taught others.
Whenever problems arose I took the initiative and fixed said problem to maximize production efficiency without direction.
While working on any of the more than 30 productions in the last four years, I nurtured my uncanny ability to anticipate the needs and wants of my fellow coworkers and associates of the organization. I cultivated my knowledge of sound editing and design, was often tasked with filming productions for archival purposes, often times with little or no notice. I was in charge of making sure any audio and visual needs were met and satisfied.
While attending Mira Costa, I cultivated my knowledge of technical theater and experienced everything the theater program had to offer. While in school I also was able to grow my creative thinking process and problem solving abilities which garnered some accolades including The Best Stage Manager Award at the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival.
I enjoy volunteering in the community for organizations, such as T.E.R.I., for personal and professional growth, creating contacts and networking.
