Clark, I have been in this business for a long time. We have known each other over several years and have gotten along very well. I would appreciate it if you would keep this confidential, due to the fact that If I am not deserving of the job I want to continue in my own brokerage business. If I am selected for the job. I would also like to give all of my manufacturers a 30-day notice so that they can find a replacement for me.
Due to First Source closing, I will lose around 20 to 30 percent of my commissions. As I made you aware I pay for my Granddaughter's Autism Education. I can still do OK. However, I am very selective on who I can or cannot work. I know that Candyrific would be a good fit for me and I a good fit for you and CandyRific.
Confection sales are what I love to do. I intend on working for quite some time. I have developed what I believe to be a great reputation not only with your company but in the industry as well.
As you can see throughout my employment history I know how to work under someone and not be the boss. Tom Hoffman at Joe Dell Brokerage, when he did the national rollup with Advantage, tore up my non compete and let me create Premier Sales and Marketing.
Why I would be an asset for CandyRific
1 I can start immediately
2 I know the product line and would need little or no training.
3 Travel does not bother me. I am prepared to work on the road three to four days a week as needed.
4 I control expenses meaning I'll spend CandyRific Money like my own.
5 I am a very prepared person. Meaning I set goals for working with the brokers and will not accept broker bullshit. Trust me I have heard most excuses and probably have created some of my own.
6 I have called on and been successful in handling National accounts.
7 I know how to get the business. Meaning when I go into a brokerage account. I'll meet with the Department head. Get an account listing from them. Then question each account and find out who they sell to. Then develop a plan for our product line and how this would be a great opportunity for the customer as well as the salesperson that calls on them. This may require two visits with the broker to get them to work with me not against me.
8 The best news for hiring me is I will pay for a portion of my own salary. Cracker Barrel would become a house account and no brokerage will have to be paid.
When Joe Dell Brokerage was rolled up into Advantage Sales and Marketing in June of 2004 I and 4 others from Joe Dell Brokerage started Premier Sales and Marketing.
