Before I came to the U.S..I was the President of the "Forest Monkey" Roots & Shoots Group in 2011. Our Group did a lot of work and won theJane Goodall's Roots & Shoots Project Achievement Awards, 2011,and Group Achievement Awards, 2011.I also help the next President to keep on working and finally won the Group Achievement Awards again in 2012. I also volunteered in the Beijing International Education Exchange to help other international student's to learn Chinese culture.
After I came to the U.S.A. as an international student, I continued to be hardworking.I try my best to make my GPA 4.0 in the first two semesters and put my name in the Dean' s Honor List of East Los Angeles College.
Besides, I participated in Chinese Scholars and Students Association and become the vice delegate. I helped a lot in the 1st Chinese Scholars and Students Association Lunar New Year Gala in ELAC, 2014. I was not only the performer, but also the compere in the event. The Gala was really successful and I really learned a lot from it. Almost at the same time, I became the President of International Student Advancement Program. I organized our club to host the Biggest Lunar New Year Fair in East Los Angeles College. Being the chef manager of a great program, I learned how to communicate with the manager in the campus and how to deal with people. The event was successful and made a lot more new members into our club.
I also volunteered a lot in other event. I volunteered in the God Provide Food Bank to provide food for homeless people.I volunteered in the Wiggie-Waggle Walking of the Animal Shelter to rise fund for animal care. I also helped a lot in the U.S. Chinese- American New Year Festival Gala and the 6th Hollywood “Angel Cup” International Youth Music and Art Festival in 2014.
Now I became the Commissioner of Life Science of Associated Student Union in East Los Angeles College to do more Community service and help more people in our campus.
Chef manager of the Biggest Lunar New Year Fair in East Los Angeles College, which brought the Chinese Culture to all the students in the campus and got a great confirmation from the College Foundation President.
Chef manager of the Educational Tour to UCI and UCSD, which provided students who was willing to transfer to those two universities a chance to have an campus tour and get more specific information about transfer.
Contact with the manager of the God Provide Food Bank and brought 18 volunteer to the food bank to do community services for more than five hours.
volunteer in the U.S. Chinese-American New Year Festival Gala. I helped a lot in the performer and device management to guarantee the performance to be in correct order, which finally helped the Gala to be successful and be put on the local newspaper.
Compere and performer of the 1st Chinese Scholars and Students Association Lunar New Year Gala in East Los Angeles College. The Gala was confirmed by the deans of the campus and the mayer of the CIty and helped the newborn chapter to be recognized by the other part of the big organization.
Volunteer in the Wiggie-Waggle Walking hosted by the Pasadena Humane Society & Spca, which the animal shelter to raise fund. I ,coordinated with 20 more other volunteers, helped the organization in the breakdown section to clear up all the trash on the spot.
I brought 9 language volunteers who can speak more than 2 languages to the Language service system of the Special Olympics invitational Game, and became the language expert as the team manager. Our team really helped a lot as translators of the international athletes in the great world Game.
I am a bioengineering student in East Los Angeles College. Currently, I have already covered Calculus I,General Chemistry I,General Biology I and intermediate reading and composition. I also took Principles of Economics as General Education. Now,My GPA is 4.0. This year,I'm taking Calculus II,General Chemistry II,Mechanics of Solids and College Reading and Composition I. I want to cover all the the course that I need for transfer in Two years and transfer to UC Berkeley, college of engineering.
