- Providing counsel in connection with the ground up development of five different Fortune 50 headquarter location projects sited in Colorado Springs, Sunnyvale, San Jose, Cupertino, South San Francisco.
- Lead counsel to Korean Pension Fund Group regarding purchase and eventual sale of 3 First National Plaza, Chicago, Illinois.
- Represented Motorola with respect to separation into Motorola Mobility and Motorola Solutions, including international real estate issues associated with over 500 properties.
- Advised Future Funds with respect to joint venture with TIAA CREF in purchase of New York Office tower $100M.
- Served as part of core lease negotiation and development team for Baker & McKenzie 250,000 sq ft. new office facility in Chicago winning AIA 2012 Award for best design and named by Crains as Coolest Office in Chicago
- Advised John Buck Company in connection with creation of a joint venture development company to provide development services in the Middle East including construction of multi-billion dollar of a financial center in the Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
- Advised John Buck Company in connection with the acquisition and ongoing property management of the Sony Center, a marquee Berlin am Main office and retail complex.
- Represented U.S. private REIT in connection with acquisition of 30 property, multi-billion dollar and multiple state U.S. office portfolio from Canadian fund.
Construction Projects
- Represent international religious organization with major construction projects across over 50 countries involving over 100 major construction projects.
- Represented one of Europe's biggest grocery chains in connection with the development and construction of multiple stores and distribution centers in the United States valued at more than $300 million.
- Regularly advise British School in connection with development of large 500-1,000 student premier school developments in city centers, including major projects in Chicago, Houston, Boston, Washington and South Florida.
- Providing counsel in connection with the ground up development of five different Fortune 50 headquarter location projects sited in Colorado Springs, Sunnyvale, San Jose, Cupertino, South San Francisco.
- Represent Fortune 50 Company in connection with multi-million dollar development of school as part of charitable activities.
Real Estate Finance Transactions.
- Assisted Fortune 50 Company in connection with sale-leaseback of corporate headquarters with the intention of financing pension obligations.
- Represented McDonald's Corporation in 900 store facility $380M refinancing.
- Lead counsel to Chinese development bank in connection with development of office, retail, hotel and public infrastructure development project.
- Represented Motorola with respect to separation into Motorola Mobility and Motorola Solutions, including international real estate issues associated with over 500 properties. Continue to represent both Motorola Mobility and Motorola Solutions with respect to various matters
- Represented Australian listed property trust forming a U.S. REIT for the purchase of 600 properties of a U.S. public company in a sale leaseback arrangement with a stapled Australian operating company.
- Regularly advised premier finance company with general securitization issues relating to its role as master servicer, special servicer and issuer of commercial and residential mortgage-backed securities.
- Served as primary outside counsel for public company in the business of financing inventory of “top fifty” public and private homebuilders with assets of $2.5 billion. Products include sale-leasebacks, production home inventory financing, structured lot financing (land banking), model home financing, synthetic-lease arrangements, construction financing and joint venture financing.
- Advised opportunity fund in connection with structuring $550 million dollar warehouse financing vehicle for publicly traded homebuilder structured lot option program and associated golf course loans.
- Structure funding mechanisms to finance business of financial services firm, including loan participations, warehouse securitization vehicle, line of credit and loan sales.
- Advised opportunity fund in connection with structuring $550 million dollar warehouse financing vehicle for publicly traded homebuilder structured lot option program and associated golf course loans.
- Worked with underwriters, accountants, rating agencies, liquidity providers, swap providers, the issuer, the structuring agents in representing commercial and residential mortgage loan purchaser and originator in connection with the formation of a $3.5 billion residential and commercial mortgage backed commercial paper warehouse securitization facility. This facility was the nation's first warehouse facility of its type backed in part by commercial office, retail and other types of mortgage loans as well as residential warehouse lending receivables and conforming and non-conforming residential loans.
- Represented commercial mortgage loan seller in $1.5 billion financial asset sale including mortgage loans, loan participation interests, subordinate equity participations and operating business loans.
- Structured $100 million headquarters office building sale-leaseback financing for Fortune 200 company
Infrastructure Transactions:
- Represented City of Nashville with parking meter public private partnership initiative.
- Advise international mining company in connection with acquisition of rail, port and mining concessions for large Latin American mining operation.
- Representing City of O'Fallon in connection with water system privatization .
- Representing Indianapolis Airport Authority with water system re-development project .
- Leader of legal team of multinational mining company with respect joint venture development of $1B plus west coast U.S. port.
- Assisted International mining company in connection with both purchase and sale of U.S. coal mines located in multiple U.S. states.
- Advised British School in PPP development of public park development on top of 1,000 student premium school urban developments in Chicago.
- Leader of legal team for SANEF bid PPP proposal to provide tolling services to Louisville Kentucky, East End Bridge Project .
- Advised Mexican Lender in connection with debt arrangements for San Diego to Tijuana bridge crossing which was international border bridge
- Counsel to a Chinese bank in connection with proposed loan to fund PPP transaction for 22,000 homes, 8M square feet of office and associated transportation infrastructure project - Treasure Island, Candlestick Point, San Francisco.

- Real estate and infrastructure counsel to M&A team for mining company to bid for acquisition of Latin American mine including associated 100+ mile rail and port concessions .
- Advised mining company with respect to workout of disputed rail concession rights in support of power plant.
- Advised Ontario Teacher's Pension Fund/Camelot Group on bid for Illinois Lottery privatization.
- Led legal team for Babcock & Brown with respect to proposed PPP transaction for parking assets of midwestern U.S. City.
- Led legal team for consortium in GE/Abertis/Babcock & Brown connection with acquisition bid for Chicago Midway Airport, including advising on terms of concession agreement, gate and facilities use agreements, airport facilities maintenance agreements and community noise abatement and mitigation.

- Advised Reason Foundation (privatization think tank) with the development of model code for State PPP public infrastructure procurement program - Arizona.
