The functional upgrade of HEB's PeopleSoft FIN applications such as Billing, Account Receivables, Account Payable and General Ledger were upgraded.
This project involved phases including Requirement Gathering, Analysis, Design, Development, Unit Testing, System & Integration Testing and Performance Testing.
The technologies primarily used were People-Tools 8.49 and PeopleTools 8.52 and Oracle.
Responsibilities: Prepare detailed design specification Upgrade the base code and customizations as needed for the PS Finance upgrade from V8.9 to V9.1 Responsible for running Compare reports against different PS databases.

Since this successful implementation Arbitron anticipates to eliminate its legacies and implement all its divisions in PeopleSoft 9.0.
The project exhibits extensive complexity due to limited documentation, numerous subsystems, limited knowledge of interfaces, large amount of manual intervention and fewer business validations in legacy systems.
This is further complicated by inconsistent data across modules and systems.
