  • I support about 2000 databases in dev, int and prod environment with the biggest ranging at 3TB.
  • I am responsible with given VM specs for the creation of new databases by the build team and after creation, I am responsible with the installation of oracle software and client installation on those VMS.
  • As a DBA, I create the new databases needed on the VMs and make sure that all necessary files and backup scripts are in place for daily incremental backups and properly saved for recovery purposes.
  • I make sure to patch the oracle homes as well as databases with the latest patch set before databases GO LIVE.
  • I upgrade databases from current version to newer versions such as 19c.
  • In my environment, I am in charge with migrating databases from CORE to AZURE since everything is being moved to Cloud.
  • On a weekly basis I migrate 3 to 4 databases for Dry Run and twice a month do all necessary preparations as well as implement the cutover by bringing the production database to Live.
  • Daily I work very close with customers with troubleshooting issues they encounter, such as creating new IDs, granting privileges, giving the right permissions to directory as well as authentication methods for users to access data.
