Work History
Operations Industrial Engineer, 08/2017 to Current
Cke Restaurants Monterey, TN,
  • Created Parking lot in plant for power equipment (Forklifts, Long Forks, Power Tows).
  • Surface Visibility Scanner Coordinator for our plant.
  • I had to Maintain all 88 scanners within plant. All scanners needed to be working properly, if not, they have to be collected and repaired/replaced.
  • Improved plant’s Priority Mail Service score from 91.87% to 94.90% in 2 months using DMAIC process, which landed plant in the top 10 in Priority Mail for USPS.
  • I reduced unnecessary work hours, reduced the amount of walking done by employees all by redesigning the layout in our manual package mail area.
  • Used Lean mail processing tools to improve workroom floor/ improve mail flow.
  • Created analysis reports using surface visibility and informed visibility, which are systems used to measure compliance analysis ( Mail Scanning, Failed mail pieces, Transportation failures).
  • Created Run Plan Generators (RPG) to predict volume of mail that will be processed in our plant two weeks ahead. RPG’s helped reduce the dispatch time by 30 minutes.
  • Lead the Autonomous Guided Vehicle (Forklifts & Power Tows) Project for my facility, I programmed initial routes for vehicles and planned the layout of AGV's in our facility using AutoCAD 15 and create the simulations of the vehicles operating in my facility using SIMIO 11.
  • AGV’s reduce overtime and reduced time for mail travelling to dock by 15 minutes.
  • Created Express Mail Placards (Signage) for containers of Priority Parcels and Flats.
  • This allows for all mail within mail facilities to have pure visibility of where its heading to; without placards, pieces of mail to customers would get lost and/or arrive late.
