As a person who never finds it hard to look for the good in every situation I have had multiple jobs and volunteer opportunities serving people. I am passionate about taking care of the life that we see around us and treasuring it with pride and ownership.
I am strong in my beliefs about the stewardship of our environment, of our communities and of our most precious resource; life. When just one person cares, (like myself) intentionally and passionately about changing the uniformed views of others, in a way that is respectful and kind, it can be profoundly effective. I believe that I was given a gift to influence others into realizing the value of things often gone unnoticed or neglected.
As a mother of four children I have instilled those values in their hearts and minds to see that when you truly care about something; you protect it, you care for it, and you invest into it. That principle works as a basis for most everything from personal care, to how we treat others and even how we begin to heal our environment.
I am a gifted speaker and motivator and I love to teach about the things that have been proven to lead others to success, which is why I can't even help myself in a summary about "me", to turn it into the universal "we".
I believe that "I" succeed, when "we" succeed. by motivating others to work together we can accomplish the important things in life.
In short, to know me is to know that I belive that we can Reduce, Reuse and Recycle all the time, but in a broader sense:
If we are to reduce, let us reduce the waisted resources that we as people have become. Let's give more than we take.
If we are to reuse, let us reuse the things we know still work. being kind, being considerate, being thoughtful and caring are all renewable resources.
If we are to recycle, let us recycle the circumstances in life that were unpleasant and use them as education to lift ourselves and others up. let's reinvent our waste into our victory.
The world is full of creative people meeting less than their full potential. I want to not only meet mine but to help others find theirs along the way also.

Shepherd's Staff is a non profit that works to assist low income Thai andBurmese families and Youth in Denver as well as overseas. The role I play is a multi-faceted one and covers a wide range of skills from coordinating a variety of fundraising events to overseeing the operations of the many children being sponsored through the program. Among other duties, I also travel abroad once a year and co organize a youth camp in northern Thailand. The projects we do abroad have grown from assisting at risk youth with education, sports programs, and food assistance. To providing families in need of work, with sustainable work programs, and providing proper sanitation (clean public restrooms). Shepherd's Staff also assists with the needs of Burmese refugee families in the greater Denver Area. My role as fundraising coordinator and staff assistant also means being extremely patient and innovative when language barriers threaten to cause division. We work hard to foresee any obstacles that our differences might pose but occasionally when an unforeseen misunderstanding occurs we quickly strive for resolution. While working with Shepherd's Staff, working with people, problem solving, being flexible, and being understanding are all qualities that I have found to be indispensable in this field of work. I also believe that the success we see in fundraising and our multiple projects is largely due to the passion and excitement of all who are involved. If you love what you do, it is easy to promote it.
