Collaborate with community partners to expand transportation and mobility options for all residents in the counties; particularly specialized populations including those with disabilities, seniors and low income individuals.
Work directly with public transit and specialized transportation providers, to create programs and policies that expand access to transportation in the rural counties for all individuals.
Participate in the team process, both within the department and the corporation.
Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training staff, planning, assigning and directing work, completing annual staff evaluations and performance plans, discipline employees when necessary through progressive corrective action plans, addressing complaints and problems with staff and with customers we serve.
Responsible for creative design and coordination of Ottawa County Summer Lunch & Fun program, as well as other community programs including; Lay Me Down to Sleep, Fill the Gap and Portage Resale Voucher letters.
Oversee all office function including; invoices and check requests, supply ordering, document creation, incoming and outgoing agency communications, and other administrative tasks as assigned.
Plan and execute all aspects of special events and fundraising in Ottawa County. These include United Way in Ottawa County's annual golf outing at Catawba Island Club, The Great Grape Stomp at Mon Ami, Gem Beach Rocks for four years and Burning Snowman for the first two years.
Work with the Ottawa County Executive Director on resource development, including workplace campaigns, grant writing and individual giving throughout the year.
Compiling lists of prospective volunteers and donors to increase revenue sources for United Way.
Attended events and trainings hosted by community partners and agencies to network and increase awareness of United Way and our mission.
Responsible for overseeing FEMA's Emergency Food and Shelter Program in Ottawa County. Facilitated bi-annual meetings, ensured midterm and final reports for each phase were submitted to Washington D.C.
Responsible for all volunteer recruitment and training. Creating volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups in Ottawa County.
Responsible for information and referrals for services for walk-in and telephone clients. Responsible for updating information in United Way's 2-1-1 database.
Basic reception and clerical duties.
Created and implemented a presentation for high school students interested in community service opportunities and AmeriCorps programs.
Coordinated Food drives and other events that benefited the community.
