Manage a child protection division consisting of 7 supervisors and 54 staff that receives more than 4,000 reports of abuse and neglect annually. Accountable for developing processes that conform to Wisconsin Standards while targeting quality improvements to build engagement with families and the community.

  • Utilize workload management data to determine capacity of the workforce and make decisions about development of positions
  • Analyzed program and financial data providing a detailed annual budget of six million dollars
  • Manage the workforce by hiring, training and utilizing performance based evaluations to promote staff. Developed a retention workgroup to improve retention rates.
  • Responsible for procuring contracts from agencies to maximize the service array for children and families.
  • Developed innovative practices over the last decade including Family Find, Organizational Effectiveness, critical incident response, relative support group, & trauma workshops for caregivers.
  • Work with community partners such as United Way, Community Foundation and University to explore the social determinants effecting the health and safety of children and families
  • Applied for and received a technical assistance grant from the MacArthur Foundation & Robert F. Kennedy Children's Action Corp out of Boston MA to divert youth with child maltreatment history from formal involvement in the juvenile justice system.
