  • Instilled proper chainsaw etiquette, skillfully applied chainsaw use in line construction. Efficiently cut and thinned brush to allow hand crew access, fell hazard and healthy trees, brushed fire roads and hiking trails. Performed chainsaw rehab in the field as well as in camp. Operated chainsaws of various size and bar length to fall trees of different complexity. Ensured a safe and controlled cutting area at all times using radios, verbal messages and road guards.
  • Maintained a high level of physical fitness through daily hikes carrying a chainsaw, runs 3-6 miles in length, calisthenics, and weight training
