  • As the only survey employee of a remote office, I take on many responsibilities - inside and outside of the survey realm -  through all phases of a project's life.
  •  Safely managing and executing the day to day survey activities, as well as planning, scheduling and budgeting for the future.  
  • Maintain existing client relationships, as well as working to expand opportunities into new markets and sectors in the region. 
  • Perform field surveys including but limited to; Right-of-way acquisition, land division, utility expansion, topographical, volume/quantities, establish control and perform construction staking for dams and other irrigation structures, pipelines, and heavy civil grading.

  • Performed survey services in the communities and oil fields of the Bakken region of Western North Dakota including; oil, gas, drinking and frac water supply and disposal pipelines, municipial utility expansion, land development and subdivision construction and design surveys, land planning, zoning, and annexation.    
  • Platting, drafting, and office calculations for construction stakeout.
  • Worked with project team on scoping, proposals, fee estimates and contracts.
  • This was a highly demanding job in an economic boom. Survey needs were greater than survey resources. This job required long hours, hard work, a good attitude, attention to safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to learn and adapt quickly to be utilized outside of the normal duties of a land surveyor.
