Professional Summary

Attentive Electrical Foreman with over 24 years of experience in commercial and industrial electrical systems installation with knowledge of critical operation processes and safety training. Proven leader dedicated to high-quality work outcomes and safe operating practices. Eager to apply knowledge of industrial and commercial electrical installations to contribute immediate value to the team. Strong knowledge of high and low voltage electrical systems, working in facilities where unexpected downtime in unacceptable, strong attention to detail and safety .

Throughout my 24 plus year career as an Electrician I have had the opportunity to develop a wide variety of skills. I have completed OHSA 10 and 30 hour courses, foreman training classes, NEC Code classes, PLC programming courses, fire alarm training as well as other electrical continuing education courses to maintain a journeyman electrician license. I have had the opportunity to work in many different areas of the electrical industry including residential, commerical, industrial, agricultural and food process and energy sectors. I also have experience working in areial vehicles as well as operating excavating equipment.

Over the pat 15 years I have worked as a foreman in which I have competed projects ranging from small additions to existing businesses, new construction of medical clinics, office buildings, machine shops, food processing lines, pharmaceutical operations oil storage and transportations facilities, energy pipeline facilities, waste water treatment plants, municipalities water systems, telecom facilities as well as agricultural drying and storage operations. I have been placed in charge of projects using blue prints and engineered drawing and specifications where I have worked with a project manger to provide a completed electrical project that was fully designed by others. I have also worked directly with customers with sa complete design build installations as well as projects that are a variation of both. I have worked on projects by myself and have been placed in charge of as many as 10 electricians. I have experience with service work and troubleshooting of PLC's, VFD's, motor controls, high voltage systems from 2300 volts up to 13800 volts AC, as well as DC controls. I have worked on and installed 120 volt to 480 volt services, switch gear, motor control centers and panel boards. I have also installed fire alarm systems, temperature control systems for HVAC and boiler systems, data systems including Cat 5, 5E and Cat 6 cables and fiber optic networks. I have installation and maintenance experience with emergency generators and UPS systems. I have been able to help clients troubleshoot and repair broken machines and equipment as well help them design systems to help improve the operations. I was able to design the installation of a complete electrical room for a customer for the installation of a complete new processing line. This design then allowed the customer to repurpose a existing room into a control room that housed all the electrical equipment for this machine. My design of the room allowed for the expansion of the systems that may not of been possible if the layout was done differently. I have also worked with customers to make changes to the engineered drawings to improve the design without adding extra costs to the project.

I have always looked for to continuing education as great way to increase my knowledge and skill sets through my career and have found this to be very useful in the everchanging electrical industry. After completing my five year approved apprenticeship which included 5 years of classroom instruction and 8,000 hours of on the job training I have consistently taking journeyman training courses throughout my career to be able to keep up with new and changing technologies. I have always enjoyed the challenge of learning and doing something new and outside of my existing knowledge base. I enjoy working on projects that involve twists and turns that can change the scope of projects as well as make me have to think outside the box while working on tight deadlines.
