Throughout my 24 plus year career as an Electrician I have had the opportunity to develop a wide variety of skills. I have completed OHSA 10 and 30 hour courses, foreman training classes, NEC Code classes, PLC programming courses, fire alarm training as well as other electrical continuing education courses to maintain a journeyman electrician license. I have had the opportunity to work in many different areas of the electrical industry including residential, commerical, industrial, agricultural and food process and energy sectors. I also have experience working in areial vehicles as well as operating excavating equipment.
Over the pat 15 years I have worked as a foreman in which I have competed projects ranging from small additions to existing businesses, new construction of medical clinics, office buildings, machine shops, food processing lines, pharmaceutical operations oil storage and transportations facilities, energy pipeline facilities, waste water treatment plants, municipalities water systems, telecom facilities as well as agricultural drying and storage operations. I have been placed in charge of projects using blue prints and engineered drawing and specifications where I have worked with a project manger to provide a completed electrical project that was fully designed by others. I have also worked directly with customers with sa complete design build installations as well as projects that are a variation of both. I have worked on projects by myself and have been placed in charge of as many as 10 electricians. I have experience with service work and troubleshooting of PLC's, VFD's, motor controls, high voltage systems from 2300 volts up to 13800 volts AC, as well as DC controls. I have worked on and installed 120 volt to 480 volt services, switch gear, motor control centers and panel boards. I have worked with a wide variety of electrical manufacturers including but not limited to Allen Bradley, Square D, Eaton brands, General Electric, Mitsubishi, Danfoss, and more. I have also installed fire alarm systems, temperature control systems for HVAC and boiler systems, data systems including Cat 5, 5E and Cat 6 cables and fiber optic networks. I have installation and maintenance experience with emergency generators and UPS systems. I have been able to help clients troubleshoot and repair broken machines and equipment as well help them design systems to help improve the operations. I was able to design the installation of a complete electrical room for a customer for the installation of a complete new processing line. This design then allowed the customer to repurpose a existing room into a control room that housed all the electrical equipment for this machine. My design of the room allowed for the expansion of the systems that may not of been possible if the layout was done differently. I have also worked with customers to make changes to the engineered drawings to improve the design without adding extra costs to the project.
I have always looked for to continuing education as great way to increase my knowledge and skill sets through my career and have found this to be very useful in the everchanging electrical industry. After completing my five year approved apprenticeship which included 5 years of classroom instruction and 8,000 hours of on the job training I have consistently taking journeyman training courses throughout my career to be able to keep up with new and changing technologies. I have always enjoyed the challenge of learning and doing something new and outside of my existing knowledge base. I enjoy working on projects that involve twists and turns that can change the scope of projects as well as make me have to think outside the box while working on tight deadlines.

Elected and served as church council President for 2 of 6 years on church council and helped oversee operations of church and its staff as well. Also served as Vice President for 1 year and 3 years as council rep of building and grounds committee where charged with control of budgeting for upkeep and capital improvements of church buildings and grounds.
Currently serving as Superintendent of Electrical and Areospace for Stephenson County 4H clubs. This position is voluntary, helping to oversee youth ages 8 - 18 in development of projects related to Electrical and Aerospace industries. In 4H ,children choose topics of interests to them and with help from project guidelines create projects to be judged at general projects day. General projects day is where all 4H members of one county bring their projects to one locations to be presented and judged. Superintendents answers questions about guidelines, makes decisions on projects compliance to those guidelines and answers questions during judging times. This position is enjoyable because Superintendents get to help area youth gain knowledge in common areas of interest.

I feel as through I have developed an extensive skill set over my career as a journeyman electrician. I believe that I am diverse in many aspects of the electrical industry where I can preform installation, repair, maintenance, design, fabricate, troubleshoot as well as offer counsel to customers for budget purposes. I have managed projects and personal from the design phase all the way to the startup of projects. I have been told by employers and customers that I possess the skills and and abilities to manage projects and personal to a high degree of success. I am repeated ask for by name to do work on customers projects that I have previously worked for and my employer has shared with my letters and emails of thanks and praise from customers that I have worked for. I have also been told by fellow coworkers that they appreciate the way that I manage the projects that they have worked for me on. I believe that the way that I treat people is a reflection of the values that I hold important and that I want to work for an employer that shares that same values as I do. I have always tried to to my best at my job and am constantly looking for ways to improve myself so that I can become more valuable to my employer and for the customer that I am working for. I believe that there are always opportunities to gain knowledge and that it is important to always be trying to improve and grow my skill set.
