This position was focus on riding, training, and conditioning horses of all ages, with occasional feeding, and cleaning stalls when it was needed.
During this position, I was responsible for feeding the horses, dogs, cats, chickens, and cattle every morning and night. I then would clean stalls and paddocks weekly. I then would ride and condition the horses on the property multiple times a week.
My brother and I would work from April to November mowing roughly 20 yards a week. Often times we would have other jobs such as weed pulling, yard clean up, etc. Everything was on a strict schedule in order to keep track of managing each yard and the yard's needs. All equipment was kept on a maintenance schedule that we fulfilled as well.
A quick description of the daily routine of a ranch hand included cleaning out numerous stalls and paddocks that hold animals. I had the responsibility of making sure the animals on the property had water, and at some times had the responsibility of completing the feedings for the animals either morning or evening. I also took on landscaping and lawn care on the property that occurred weekly.
