Started as a machine operator and worked my way up to Injection molding manager, I was in charge of opening the factory at 6:00 AM and turn on all our auxiliary equipment and all the injection molding machines, to have them ready to start at 7:00 am when the rest of the employees arrived for work, i used to oversee Q.C., production, mold changes, tooling and machinery maintenance, second and third shift.
I was originally hired as a consultant to determine if manufacturing LED Lenses here in U.S. VS overseas was feasible, they asked me to find out how much capital investment was needed to start manufacturing operations.
Upon completion, i was asked to work for the company to get it done.
I accepted and proceeded to buy all necessary equipment and at the same time, started working with the design Engineers to build our mold bases and mold inserts.
I placed the I.M.M.s, Chillers, Thermulators, compressed air lines for all robotic arms, vacuum loaders, granulators, and all the rest of the auxiliary equipment.
Ran first article samples of the LED Lens designs and upon their approval, we started manufacturing LED Lenses by April the first.
Created and updated department work instructions and reports on a regular basis.
