Shadowed nurses, physicians, therapists, nutritionists, pharmacists and many other medical professionals through their daily duties, procedures, etc. Interacted with patients, and family members as well as assisting those shadowed. Learned medical terminology, basic information about procedures and conditions, as well as the steps that were being taken to ensure the best patient care possible.
Responsible for minor injuries and injury prevention for hundreds of high school football players, involved with a team of student trainers and professional trainers to ensure safety for players throughout the week long camp. Each team of student trainers was responsible for a section of the campus, each with eight teams. The week long camp was composed of five, eight hour days. Duties preformed were taping wrists, ankles, and other joints, preparing water jugs and heat stress prevention, as well as "on-call" assistance to any player that was in need of immediate medical attention.
Had the responsibility of looking after the house, two dogs, and pool maintenance for up to a week at a time. Fed, watered, and walked dogs, did laundry, and cleaned the house. As well as being responsible for taking the garbage out and bringing mail.
Responsible for two children, ages ranged from 1- 4years old in 2008, currently they are 6 and 11. Duties included playing with and entertaining the two children as well as preparing food, bathing, laundry, transportation to and from extra curricular events, as well as putting to bed.
Only attended for one quarter, before transferring to Washington State University.
