  • Orders tests and specialty labs, insurance kits Batches and verifies specimens is on batch and ready for courier pick up take to hospital Therapeutic phlebotomies, glucose tolerance test, bleeding times Trained to draw from Hickman catheters and Groshong catheters, and proper flushing and discard and also what to do if IV was involved.
  • Meditech computer program used registration and ordering and printed lab reports for doctors, and multiphasic test Train new employees Worked at Eichelberger Lab an offsite central drop off area I was able to process pt both outpatient specimen register, order, and process specimen so it was ready for the courier to take to hospital for testing or send out lab Ordered and maintained supplies for outpatient lab, when I started working at annexes more ordered for Eichelberger Lab, houses calls and 2 smaller nursing homes.
