What began as volunteer work and internships on working farms in Hawaii during 7 seasonally unemployed winters from All Outdoors, turned into a love for gardening and farming, as well as a paid position working the fields, raising animals, and helping to run a 30-40 person csa on Kauapea Farms in Kauai. Responsiblities included seeding, planting, maintenance, irrigation, composting, weekly task/harvest assessment and planning, harvesting, delivery, and farmers markets.
Also earned a permaculture design certificate spring of 2010.
I attended for two years, and found the working world suited me better than the collegiate one at that time.
