I plan the cargo/package load being shipped via aircraft for the next day service operations. I am responsible to create a legal manifest for the pilots authorizing them to depart. My job requires following many regulations and guidelines in order to assure the supervisor loads my aircraft safely, and for the pilots to have a safe flight load for departure. My job also requires basic office responsibilities such as answering phone-lines, being computer proficient, being Microsoft Office proficient, and being able to multi-task. This is a high stress office environment position, and I am responsible to work through the chaos efficiently in order to depart my aircraft on time.
I was responsible to track all hot next day service volume for the days operation. I was in charge of communicating with all managers in the days operation to bring the volume into the hub to be sorted in order to prevent service failures. All volume must be brought inside the hub in a timely manner so it may flow through all the required channels in the allotted time before it is considered service failures. This job required me to keep my composure in a high stress and incredibly loud warehouse environment.
My job required me to track and handle high value packages being sorted through the days operation. These packages were to be stopped during the operation and handled in a specific manner. Half of the job required working in the warehouse where I would retrieve all high value packages going through the sort. The other half of my job required working in an office answering phone calls, and inputting data on the computer.
I was responsible to open warehouse door every morning, cleaning my work area constantly, building pallets of merchandise, loading/unloading trailers of palletized merchandise with aid of a pallet jack and loading/unloading trailers of loose packages. I also operated trash compressor machine in order to destroy defective merchandise.
I organized presentations with potential customers in order to sell Cutco Cutlery. Gained experience in Customer Service.
