Independently operated and successfully managed the daily operations 24/7 of a Nationally Accredited Family Assistance Center that is located in my geographical area of responsibility. Delivering family assistance services to 300+ service members and their families by providing vital resources and referrals. Commander, Service Member and family member assistance with numerous essential services including but not limited to: Financial Assistance, Crisis, Community Information and Outreach, TRICARE, Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) enrollment, counseling referrals, employment issues and opportunities, ID cards, Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) enrollment, natural disaster assistance and Legal issues. Conducted and oversaw non-medical case management services for approximately 100+ cases with Family Care Plan, Financial and TRICARE being top three cases to date. Responsible for developing and maintain eight hard-copy and electronic data directories of resources including community organizations, agencies and additional technical support needed for the service members, families and survivors within geographical locations. The additional resources also include information on military, government and state, national and civilian organizations. National Guard Bureau (NGB) - approved data base system, Family Management Portal (FMP), subject matter expert with 100% accurate data of all soldiers and family members in my area. Respond to, evaluate, and handle time-sensitive calls and cases received while following proper protocol. Evaluate and input data into the FMP within 24 hours, conduct, and record follow-up on all cases within 72 hours. Develop and maintain excellent relationships with community resource within surrounding counties covering approximately. Coordinate services with, social service programs, community resource organizations, local and state services to support service members and their families. Contact 10+ community network per month. Provide administrative support to Family Assistance Coordinator by preparing and submitting weekly and monthly reports within designated timeline. Assist approximately 175+ soldiers, Veterans and family members with the completions and submission of grant applications, requests for military records, loan applications, TRICARE enrollment forms and retirement applications. Update units, command, soldiers and families on military resources and events. Respond daily to informational inquires via phone, text, social media, and email or in person. Provided over 900+ brochures, business cards, promotional items, and other material to increase knowledge of Family Program. Organize, schedule and accomplished approximately 8+ annual trainings per NGB requirements; approximately 25+ annual required trainings per Contractors.
Outreach and coordination efforts available 24/7 to provide Emergency Family Assistance Center operations. Established and maintained 100% monthly outreach contacts with approximately 100+ designated key adult family members directed by statutory law and regulation. Document case sensitive matters and notify appropriate personal of reportable incidents. Recruit Sustainment Program activities, Soldier Readiness Processes, Drills, Unit Family Day, Family Readiness Group events, local community events and annual trainings as required. Support higher headquarters in planning and coordinating resources with family assistance for deployment cycle support. Offer support, guidance, assistance, and check on their well-being by letters, calls, emails, text, in person or social media private messages. . Assist soldiers goingthrough the process as needed to ensure FCP is accurate. Educate and instruct units on family care plans to ensure compliance with Army Regulation 600-20 ensuring unit, soldier and family readiness. Provide employment and financial counseling by maintaining a current database of job fairs and employment opportunities as well as budgeting and financial resources.

Organize and schedule family assistance meetings, trainings and briefings with Command Staff, units, community partners, volunteers, workshops, local and state organizations, Family readiness liaisons and Family readiness groups to provide technical support and up to date information on upcoming military and community events, resources and information to assist service members and their families. Coordinate and conduct unit visits yearly with full-time unit support in my area of responsibility in support of Soldier & Family Readiness Program and actively promoting Joint Services Support (JSS) mission, vision, and goals. Disseminate family assistance brochures, business cards, literature with point of contact for each Texas Family Assistance Center, other literature that might be beneficial to those receiving the information and Family Assistance promotional items when available.
