Successful leader in on-premise, SaaS and cloud-based Healthcare Analytics for over 24 years. Developed both first and second generation SaaS-based solutions for McKesson, the industry leader in healthcare decision support and analytics. Worked in all aspects of solution delivery including implementation services, consulting, support, sales and product management for Mckesson. Additionally worked as a decision support/analytics customer for 4 years. Responsible for the first generation of McKesson's Business Intelligence (BI) solution which was ultimately purchased by nearly 2000 hospitals. Worked collaboratively across all parts of McKesson Provider Technologies to establish a common BI infrastructures to support many businesses in a consistent fashion. Used the original BI infrastructure to build and launch our first SaaS-based benchmarking solution which grew to nearly 400 subscriptions in the first 3 years. Later this same SaaS infrastructure was used to develop McKesson's Meaningful Use Reporting solution adding another 350 subscription in the last 2 years. Recently launched the first two products on McKesson's next generation, Azure-based cloud platform. Also, drove expansion of McKesson's Decision Support business to become a retrospective, real-time, predictive and prescriptive Enterprise Intelligence business covering strategic intelligence, capacity management, population intelligence and quality management.

Developed overall technical strategy for the Enterprise Intelligence division which included plans for migration to Azure/SaaS solutions and overall expansion into population analytics and capacity management. Worked on several potential acquisitions including the actual purchase of Medventive (population management) and Emendo (capacity management). Developed cross-McKesson business agreement to produce a common next-generation modeling solution to support future payment methodologies under Healthcare Reform. This solution will support the payer, revenue cycle and analytics businesses of McKesson. Led the product management and development organizations through their transition to Scaled Agile methodologies and introduced the Lean Startup mentality to product management.
Negotiated and implemented various partnership arrangement which helped to grow revenue and EBIT substantially. Recent agreement for Advanced BI has provided over $4.3M in gross bookings to date. Agreements for budgeting software has has allowed us to win several large ($1M+) analytics deals along with over 100 budgeting facilities sold. Built the product strategy for our first generation web-BI tool which has been sold to nearly 2000 hospitals in US, Canada and the UK. Worked with 13 other McKesson business units to develop a strategy for consistent BI across McKesson. Individual BI content for these business units has netted over $16M in incremental revenue to McKesson businesses. Used the same BI tool to develop our benchmarking platform which gained nearly 400 subscriptions ($4k to $12k per subscription per year) in the first three years. Also used the same platform to support our meaningful use reporting solution which now has roughly 350 facilities. Worked on initial Enterprise Intelligence strategies where we incorporated visibility and quality management solutions to transform our business from a retrospective financial analytics product to a real-time, prescriptive healthcare analytics solution.
Provided sales support to Analytics group during transition from legacy financial decision support solutions to next generation products. Helped drive large, multi-million dollar sales and the establishment of the early Migration Leadership Council.
Provided financial decision support services to a 15 hospital health system. Provided contract/profitability analysis for fast growing managed care component of the business. Developed an analytics system to support the management of over 225,000 covered lives in the Philadelphia area. Focused on PMPM analysis by physician, identification and management of high cost and disease specific members. Though disease management programs built off of analytics, we reduced asthma admissions by > 50%.
Implemented Trendstar Decision Support at many customers nationwide. During this period, I helped to start our national support organization in Atlanta, managed the West Coast implementation business and acted as a cost accounting consultant.
