Drilling Fluids Engineer / Field Service Representative
July 2011 to October 2015
Brinks
  • Test and prescribe treatments to maintain the chemical and physical properties of drilling and completions fluid.
  • Establish and maintain rapport with Operator Representatives.
  • Work with Operator Rep, Contractor Rep, contractor and third party personnel to execute well drilling prognosis.
  • Directly supervise all aspects of drilling and completion fluids formulation and maintenance.
  • Plan and coordinate all logistical requirements for transportation, storage, treatment, and reconditioning of drilling and completions fluids.
  • Maintain adequate inventory on location to adapt to changing fluid needs and wellbore conditions. 
  • Maintain MSDS books and Hazmat requirements for all chemicals on site.  Communicate hazards and safety requirements for the use of drilling fluid chemicals.
  • Make technical recommendations and adjustments to Operator's drilling prognosis to ensure stability, health, and viability of wellbore, while simultaneously ensuring the outcome was mutually beneficial and profitable to the fluids company.
  • Serve as the main POC between Fluids Company and Operator or Oil Production Company.
  • Solve technical issues encountered while drilling a well; inform Operator Rep of necessary actions and gain approval for deviation from specified drilling prognosis.  
Crew Chief Craftsman / Lead Technician Crew Chief
September 2009 to February 2011

  • Craftsman KC-10A Duties Advises on problems maintaining, servicing, and inspecting aircraft and aerospace SE.
  • Uses technical data to diagnose and solve maintenance problems on aircraft systems.
  • Interprets and advises on maintenance procedures and policies to repair aircraft and SE.
  • Troubleshoots and maintains aircraft structures, systems, components, and SE.
  • Tests repaired components using mockups and test equipment.

Dedicated Flying Crew Chief

  • Maintain assigned KC-135 aircraft throughout assignment cycle.
  • Accompany aircraft to and maintain at all non-supported airfields in support of contingency operations, aircraft ferrying operations, air refueling taskings, and other temporary duty assignments.
  • Maintain and generate aircraft sorties while off station; troubleshoot all maintenance issues; coordinate with higher authority all maintenance needs such as; parts, technical data, and additional personnel required for mission accomplishment.
  • Supervise accomplishment of all major inspections to include; Isochronal Minor and Major inspection and repair cycles, Critical Corrosion Identification and repair including providing technical details to engineers -when requesting engineering dispositions for non typical repair actions, and Programmed Depot Maintenance input to and acceptance from.
  • Directly Oversee all maintenance team actions on assigned aircraft.
  • Maintain assigned aircraft operational and historical forms.

Debrief Section NCOIC Duties

  • Manage section responsible for the documentation and tracking of 30,000 yearly flying hours for 15 assigned KC-135 airframes.
  • Document and maintain aircraft operational and historical documentation.
  • Manage special unit programs to include; Unit Physical Training Program; DOD Travel System Funding Approval Official; Facility Manager; Unit Contingency Control Center Lead--directed units physical defensive actions during operational readiness inspections and exercises.
  • Analyze several different data sources and create operational reports to aid in program management and executive decision processes.
  • Manage units interaction with global MIS system, to include data integrity management, correction and utilization.
  • Managed crossover from local to global MIS, this represented entirely new platform and user interface that represented several problems; trained unit personnel on end user application of new MIS and oversaw all aspects of conversion for unit.
  • Identify problems in unit programs; utilize root cause analysis to isolate problem areas; implement corrective actions.


Crew Chief
April 2002 to September 2005
United States Air Force - City , STATE
  • Perform Isochronal Inspection, Maintenance, and Repair on 15 assigned E-3 B/C aircraft.
  • Isochronal process included positioning aircraft within hangar, positioning ground support equipment, depanel, inspect, lubricate, repair, service, repanel, backline test of all systems and subsystems to ensure proper operation.
  • Typical repairs included replacement of large structural components, landing gear, flight control surfaces, engines and nacelle structures, and so on including about every imaginable system and subsystem.

  • Knowledge and use of various computer based systems such as MIS, ERP, CRM and so forth.  I have several years experience utilizing computer based information systems for logistical requirements.  In addition I oversaw and operated as the point of contact of a major database and MIS system crossover in 2008.  During this crossover we met many technical and operational challenges as a result of the change and I had to plan and create interim operational guidance while we identified and corrected the discrepant areas.
