Processes included Heavy manufacturing sections including stamping, several processes and types of welding, porcelain lining, full product assembly and some complex automation. 27 million were added to original asset base.
  • Position had Full P&L responsibilities, different support functions reported to the position as well.
  • Represented the company on CANACINTRA, Chamber of Industrials; I have served as Vice-president of Energy, VP of Export Companies, as well as head of the Treasury,   During  7 years in a row.

Provide leadership for Nuevo Laredo plant expansion under a high-pressure environment (1998-1999) to serve a new customer Home Depot; 10 million worth of equipment was put in place without stopping operations. This high profile expansion allowed the organization to increase EBIT by 22 US millions during year 2000. After the expansion the capacity is 8400 water heaters a day, 320 million year revenue, 1240 employees.
 
Managed and lead key initiatives like the yearly capital budget (20 million investment under my tenure), outsourcing of materials with Mexican suppliers, TQM for operations, reduce the spoilage trough lean manufacturing approach by $ 450,000 during  the last two years on the job.  
Create the technological and methodological infrastructure upon which rest now the Engineering Departments in some Rheem locations. Including procedures, specifications, know-how in project management, create key measurements and justify the software and hardware to achieve it.
