During my years at Delcastle Technical High School, I participated in the Biomedical Sciences program. We followed the PLTW (Project Lead The Way) curriculum which included four units.
During my participation in HOSA I engaged in activities that helped enhance my knowledge on the delivery of compassionate, quality health care. This program enriched me by providing opportunities for knowledge, skill and leadership development of all health science education students, therefore, helping me meet the needs of the health care community. I participated in multiple conferences and focus groups lead by our HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) chapter including: Choking risk & safety conference, Naloxone safety & training conference, & Tourniquet training.
During my participation in DGCA I engaged in workshops that taught me how to navigate the college admissions process as well setting positive study habits for me to keep. DGCA was mainly committed to establish proper habits, discipline and knowledge in their students in order for them to succeed through higher education and training.
