Took incoming calls daily to process cell phone claims on customer's devices that were either missing/lost, stolen, damaged or had had mechanical issues. Also had to keep up to date information with what customer's policies provided they under the multiple plans that were offered.
The division of the company I worked for was the Area Agency on Aging and we served all 18 Southeast Georgia Counties for the elderly and disabled. We helped them with in-home care such as bathing, housekeeping, errands and home delivered meals. We also had nurses and social workers that screened for a program called CCSP, a medicaid program that could offer these programs and more such as skilled nursing, assisted living and would cover the 20% of their medical bills that the 80% of Medicare did not cover. All job screenings were handled by phone or clients could have an in-home screening done if it was an emergency. My job was to take referral from all 18 counties by phone or fax, get their information entered into the computer and set up a time frame to have a phone screening done for them. I also had to keep up with all my phone/fax screening in a database that I created for a report that was turned into the state at the end of every month. I also created a database keeping up with the different clients and which screener I gave them to until the screening was complete. Every two years we had to keep up our licenses for our Information and Assistance test that we had to take in order to provide services. After a few years, I was also given a program called Outreach where I had 30 to 35 clients that I would check on by phone to make sure they where okay, taking their medicines and going to their doctor's appointments. These were clients that lived alone, far away from family and also on the waiting list for one of our programs. I also had a data base for them and a report for the state that had to be done monthly. I also assisted with all other job duties that were assigned to me.
