My name is Tason, I do not have a nickname but i have been given a lot due to my work ethic by employers. I am a highly motivated employee ready to take on and learn new skills for any company. No one can and has ever out worked me at any job I have ever worked at. When I say i will do something I mean it and wont ever back down on my word. I've participated in 5 sports my whole life: Basketball, football, soccer, lacrosse and swimming, soccer being my favorite. I messed up the career I could've had in football and soccer due to poor choices in high school and I don't dwell in that regret. I just want to have a successful and happy life more than anything. My biggest accomplishment as a man was acknowledging what I was doing wrong in this world around me filled with chaos, not pointing a finger at nobody but myself for not taking control of my destiny. There’s so many people in the world saying where they wanna be and asking why they aren’t there yet and there’s only two reasons, 1. They haven’t fully committed their selves to where they wanna be, 2. Their time just hasn’t come yet, and its that simple. I am a really creative and ambitious person and tend to put others before myself. I will do anything to see my mom smiling and I don't care what it is. To any future employer that skips over my application you are the one missing out on bringing my skill set, to the company.

Bloomin' Brands, Inc. - Golf Course Matinence
Morrow, GA, 03/2021 - 10/2022

At the river club I played in important role to keep the golf course maintained for high end golfers. I would wake up around five o'clock every morning to get a good breakfast in and head out around six o'clock to be able to clock in at six thirty monday through thursday and some weekends when needed. I would come in to the office where I would be greeted by an amazing team of well experienced landscapers and great mechanics that worked on all the tools and vehicles used for the course. In the office there was a tv that had a list of everyone's name and the job they were required to do. Most days I was assigned a task called 'bunkers'. This job was really important to keep the course looking sharp and the golfers satisfied when they have to hit the golf balls out of the bunkers. There was 18 holes on the course and each hole had roughly 4 bunkers on average, some had less or more. How I got around was by golf cart, still following the rules of the road and following the cart path. When I would arrive to a hole I would observe the bunker and if there was any big dents in the sand or footsteps from previous golfers I would take the brush that was already on the bunker and even it out with the sand around, next I would use the double sided rake to create a pattern in the bunker usually facing the green where the golf ball would be hit into. Sometimes when it would rain the sand would wash down from the edges of the bunker and we would have to use the brush to push up the sand or a special vehicle that would push the sand up because sometimes it was a lot of sand and really heavy, plus we would have to move at a fast rate because golfers were set to putt around 10:30 am. When fall came around it would be a little more work because we had to blow the leaves that would fall into the bunker out and into what we call the rough or back into the woods so it wouldn't be hard for a golfer to see their golf ball if they hit it into a bunker and so it would just look more clean. This was not a one man job, it would usually take 4-6 of my team to complete every hole on the course. We would usually be done around 10:30 am and 11 am. Afterwards we would be assigned a different job or project, some of those jobs were to mow the grass at certain height around the 7 lakes on the course which wasn't easy on some lakes. Some of the difficulties were the lakes being on steep hills, the snakes that would live in the tall grasses or in the water, the scorching hot sun some days or it being really cold, even not being able to see that well because we would get started right around 7 and the sun wasn't always up. After we mowed whatever spots we couldn't get with the mower due to how steep it was we'd go over it with a weed eater and also line up the accessible borders of the lake. Right after we finished mowing and weed eating we blew the grass remains into the lake where it would be filtered out or deteriorated. Then there could be jobs where we had to dig up dead plants and replant them, Lay pinestraw in areas where the pinestraw lost its color or blew away over time, and just maintaining the course in general. Everyone's role was really important making it a 7 day a week round job. I really enjoyed this job because I love being around nature, I loved seeing all the animals and habitats, not having to be overlooked at all times by the managers, being able to listen to music, being able to meet and talk to a lot of famous and successful people who golfed at the course, my funny coworkers, and learning a lot about agriculture and just the safe environment.
