I'm an open minded, curious Information Specialist with a lot of experience. i'm always looking for new developments in Information and Library Sciences. I strive to share this knowledge with colleagues in workshops or one-on-one but digital interaction is also no problem. Knowledge will only work by sharing. Experimenting and bringing these new developments into practice is best done in teams but I am confident working alone as well.
In 2012 and 2013 I helped organize two library camps (an unconference concerning new developments, changes and the future in libraries). The second Library Camp I organized with a group of library science students.

Responsible for taking care of a large portfolio of nationwide multi-year consortia licenses for the Dutch University (of Applied Sciences) Libraries.
Initiating, organizing, leading and closing the negotiations. Negotiations were not only about pricing but also right of usage, open access, delivery of usage statistics and copy right infringement.
Responsible for the correct text in the license agreements.
Daily communication between me, the dutch librarians (UKB and SHB) and representative of (inter)national STM publishers (i.e. EBSCO, OUP, Lexis Nexis, Springer).
On a monthly basis organizing meetings with the representatives of the Libraries of the Universities of Applied Sciences.
At least twice a year together with this group of people organizing national meetings for knowledge exchange to colleague librarians about licensing in University Libraries about i.e. Open Access, new databases, Privacy control, new discovery tools.
During the 3 years a project member of E-studybooks, a startup for digitale course ware delivery to students based on a subscription model.
As a contract manager at SURFmarket our group managed the first Data Protection Contracts for Institutes of Higher Education in the Netherland which covered Dutch, European and international legislation on Cloud Computing and Privacy.

Responsible for the dynamic and historical archives of four departments (Communications, HR, Security and Facility Management) of the Dutch Central Bank.
On a daily basis I supervised and supported self-archiving of all documents in these departments.
I developed tools to support and increase self-archiving within the whole Dutch Central Bank.
