Worked for small studio doing approx. 39 events annually while grossing $117k annually when I was hired in '95 . Started out as a lighting assistant on the weekends making extra money while in High School. At 17 years of age photographed my first wedding and then earned the respect of my boss to sit with clients and book future events. Became the top photographer in sales in 1997 at age of 19 when I decided to take a full time position and put college on hold. Took sales in 1997 at ripe age of 19 from 48 events @ $140k annually to 150 events @ $845k annually by 2001. Became a partner in the company in 2001 and moved the business from the congested city of New York to the wealthy suburbs in NJ. With the new location while keeping existing clientele I was able to expand the company to $1.4m in annual sales before selling my share of the business in 2006.
Was hired on to grown small business of 2 retail photography studios in Los Angels/Orange County, CA in hopes to expand business growth and franchise the photo studio. I implemented and managed a sales staff that took sales from $380k annually in 2006 and ended 2013 in a recession at $2m in sales. Through rigorous negotiations I opened an additional studio in Los Angeles in 2009 which was stated to be the "franchise store". Photographed the likes of various celebrities and athletes that gave the studio business credibility among the industry and ownership. Started outsourcing business of graphic artists/designers with ownership outside the country to save company 40% on payroll and production. Turned profit margins from 15% to 45% through various implementations and personnel hires. Renegotiated all leases and equipment for all studios in a successful attempt to save company money over the course of 10 years after my departure. Handled day to day operations of all the studios while managing sales team to beat avg. daily goals that were set forth by ownership. Orchestrated and submitted business proposal that were accepted to franchise the company by business owners. Sent business proposals and met with various investors in a successful bid to gain business financing from the private sector. In 2013 I left the company as a bitter divorce among ownership ended any future of franchising and growth.
