Running is an exercise that's been linked to clearer thinking. And for me, this is one of the reasons why I continue to go for a morning run. Every run is an opportunity for quality reflection on issues at hand: and if I don't solve the world's problems on a run, minimally, I've enhanced my current mood! A few highlights of my years of running are my Boston qualifier race- The Santa Rosa Marathon, The Boston Marathon (2014), and the Los Angeles Marathon (2015).
Ray Dailo's autobiography has inspired me the most. In addition, his book of principals about work and life has given me immense direction for my own life. Most importantly Dalio's writings have helped me understand how to dissect root problems and design practical plans to get around the root cause in order to achieve goals. Sometimes I bet against the consensus, which is essentially me being an independent thinker; it's thrilling when my ideas improve systems and lives. When decisions are made fairly and objectively I am most satisfied.
