Supervise the personnel assigned to the shift and make the patrol assignments for officers on the shift. Ensure that necessary information about operations is disseminated to officers in a timely matter via memos, pass-on, and word of mouth. This applies to information about current and upcoming events, orders, procedures, and details. Identify, record, and resolve staffing issues. I also patrol and inspect the campus for suspicious circumstances. Take proper corrective actions where hazards may exist. Ensure that security vehicles are taken to Transportation for repairs and general maintenance. Assure the dispatcher maintains a log of all duty assignments and reported crimes and any other incidents that may be relevant. Ensure in-depth reports are submitted for all crimes, accidents, and incidents, Check for accuracy, and legibility, and make sure all reports are completed by the end of the shift or before going off duty. Observe and document each officer’s performance for future evaluations. I offer guidance and constructive feedback where needed and make corrections when necessary.

I also held one on one meetings with them once a week we talked about (tools and resources and talked about jobs stress or workloads). By doing these things this helps them to transition into their roles that will prepare them to succeed. it's more likely that they'll perform their jobs with accuracy. I stick to performance management; monitoring, reviewing and planning, administrative policies, and as well as make sound decisions, support and maintain teamwork, involvement, respect, and creativity.
