Having a strong knowledge of all manufacturing steps and processes, I was promoted the roll of Quality Manager, while continuing in my roll as inside sales/customer service representative. This promotion allowed me to guide the company into becoming ISO9001:2000 Certified. After I achieved this, I then kept the company certified to this standard until leaving in 2006.
Other responsibilities included: Taking care of customer complaints; Providing necessary documentation proving that parts were produced to certain quality standards; Meeting with other companies personnel to discuss our companies processes insuring our ability to produce the quality parts that their companies demanded; Worked with our companies suppliers to ensure we were getting the best quality products and services possible.
Started bussing tables at the age of 14 for The Welcome Matt. Then went onto wait tables when I became old enough, and then went on to bartend, which I am still doing in addition to being Bar Manager. The reason there is a three month gap is due to us changing locations.
Provided excellent customer services to our customers around the globe. Developed close public relationships with many of these customers, and were their "go-to guy" in the company. The inside sales portion of the job required working with the customer to insure they were getting the products and services they required, on-time, and of good quality, the first time they received an order, and every time after.
Job responsibilities included: Taking orders from the customer via phone, fax, email, and Internet; Seeing an order was scheduled as it needed to be, and making sure it shipped to the customer on-time; Checking on order's statuses for costumers; Rushing orders; Price Quotations; Billing; Using Microsoft Word and Excel to produce various documents and quotations.
Set-up and maintained various types of rivet manufacturing machines to produce a diverse number of cold-headed products. My machine bank consisted of 15-30 machines depending on the run and set-up schedule. I was responsible for making sure that each of these machines was producing quality parts, exactly as was specified per their blueprints.
Inspected all product before preparing them for shipment to our costumers.
I attended N.I.U. from the fall of 2002 - the spring of 2007. I was a full-time student only my first year of study, due to the fact of having to work in order to pay for my education. I studied Music Education. I participated in many musical ensembles including The Huskie Marching Band, where in my second year I became Section Leader of the Tenor Saxophones, remained Section Leader until my fifth year when I became Drum Major of The Marching Band. My responsibilities included field direction, preparation of the field for rehearsal, acting as an Liaison between the directors and the band itself, running of rehearsals in the absence of a director, and various other things.
I continued my college education this spring. I felt that I needed to get back out there and exercise my brain, for lack of a better way to describe it.
