I'm a hardworking and passionate job seeker with strong organizational skills eager to secure entry-level paraprofessional position in a school type environment. I'm looking to seek and maintain a full-time position that offers professional challenges utilizing interpersonal skills, excellent time management and problem-solving skills. I'm a driven student leveraging studies in United States history and seeking real-world experience as a paraprofessional while offering strong interpersonal and task prioritization skills.
Back in 2014 I had the privilege too work for Camp All American, which is a weekly camp located in John Creek,Georgia. During my time working at Camp All American my position was a CIT, or a Counselor in Training. This position gave me the experience to work with multiple children between the levels of elementary and middle school. This job helped me with multitasking and planning as my job was never the same. There would be days I would have to help with lunch, making sure the children were alright while taking them to the nurse, running the concession booth for the children, helping them with their performances for the end of the week, and help them try new things while getting to know them on their level.
Additionally, I grew up with epilepsy and have been seizure free for thirteen years now. While this disorder may scare people away I'm under the belief it could bring a rather great amount of help to the position. For example statistics show that one in every twenty-six people will grow into epilepsy or already have it in their life, which means that one person per classroom would eventually have this condition. Bringing this disorder to the position would allow me to be an outlet for people who would need to seek someone to talk to about it if they're struggling with the disorder or any disorder at all, as well as being able to spot the signs of an oncoming episode if one was too happen as I've spent the past threee years advocating and teaching my college peers about what seizures are and how they occur.
