Skilled RF Engineer with over 2 years experience in Telecommunications engineering and sound understanding of 2G, 3G and 4G mobile networks.
Testing, Evaluation and Analysis:
•Monitor the Corporate Request (CR) register to investigate mobile coverage and quality at locations identified by Optus CFUs (OB, SMB and OW).
•Analyse the performance of Optus Corporate and VIP customer handsets.
•Work with OB technical support teams (Converged Service Desk and Mobility Data Group) on OB customer coverage checks and complaint resolutions.
•Mobile performance tracking, planning, & management of Optus corporate and VIP customer locations (database of site information) and ensure that locations are worked into planning processes.
•Investigate and respond to Integrated Fault Management System (IFMS) tickets to solve Optus customer and network problems whilst maintaining E2E-R Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
•Co ordinate and maintain work flow of IFMS tickets and meeting KPI's.
•Provide field support functions to other Optus workgroups to assist with Optus customers and network problems associated with Optus's Mobile Networks.
•Create, modify and remove Network Quality Register (NQR) polygons in the NQR database.
•Project management of the deployment of mobile repeater and in building solutions.
•Confirm network performance following MSC/BSC/RNC upgrades, BTS migrations & network re-arrangements that may affect Optus customers. This often requires late night drive testing of the network.
•Investigate and identify the source of mobile network interference that may affect Optus customer performance and experience.
•Use SQL-based tools (IDW, Traffica) to report on the performance of customer handsets. Use this data to identify causes of poor customer experience and recommend solutions to improve customer experience.
•Facilitate the process and procedure development and implementation of E2E-R improvement activities with other Optus workgroups.
•Point of contact with internal and external workgroups.
•Achieve team and individual objectives through individual performance and teamwork, in line with Optus values.
•Maintain a safe workplace through knowledge of and adherence to relevant Optus Occupational, Health and Safety (OH&S) policies and procedures, appropriate work practices and the elimination of unnecessary risks.
•Assist in the day-to-day management of Networks Cold Laboratory, system support and other duties as directed.
•Initial check of Sales Contracts and Paperwork
•Query Management within Sales.
•Manage Production reporting i.e. queries, rejects, unhandled within Sales.
•Educate sales on correct procedures as well as new initiatives.
•Liaise with Sales to identify coaching requirements and assist in the development of the team.
•Tracking of workload in Production systems.
